1. Set up
Start with the 0/0 card in the center. Use one coin per player’s branch and another for the community branch. Lowest card draw decides the first dealer and starting player.
| Players | 2–4 | 5 | 6 | 7–8 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cards each | 7 | 6 | 5 | 4 |
2. Take a turn
Match a number on a playable branch, or draw. Coins mark branches open to everyone. Play on your own branch to optionally remove its coin before saying “NEXT.” Drawing without playing on any branch means placing your coin. Say “NEXT” to end your turn.
3. Watch the branches
Start the community branch only after everyone’s branch has started. Its coin stays in place. A double goes across a branch and splits it in two. Add a matching card or draw; the drawn card is playable. Both sides must be filled before normal play resumes. A forced double draw gets no coin.
4. Make the calls
Say “UFF-DA!” as you play your next-to-last card. A missed declaration or forgotten coin can earn a penalty if caught before the next player’s turn ends. The catcher gives the forgetful player one card from their hand. Full rules explain ties and timing.
5. Count the rounds
Round winners reduce their score by 5, 10, 15 … 50 points over ten rounds. No bonus in a terminated round. Advance the starting double from 0/0 through 9/9. The round winner deals next; after a terminated round, the player with the fewest points deals. Lowest cumulative score after ten rounds wins.
